Day 7

Subject: [firstname] You can't please everyone.

Hey [firstname]!

Like many people I've been watching a lot more TV lately. Interestingly, my cable TV company has just introduced a new channel that shows old movies and classic TV shows. It's real comforting nostalgia. The other day I was watching an episode of McCloud. In case you're unfamiliar with it, it's a show from the 1970's about a cowboy cop who gets transferred to New York City. This particular episode centered around a concert by Rick Nelson where he sings the song “Garden Party”. You can read the story behind the song here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garden_Party_(Rick_Nelson_song)

The chorus is pretty apt to what we've been discussing over the last few days:

“But it's all right now, I've learned my lesson well
You see, you can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself”

It's true: You can't please everyone, so don't even try! Just be the best version of yourself. Some people will like it, others won't. That doesn't matter. Make “To thine own self be true” your motto and your life will improve dramatically.

Within the confines of this short e-course I've only been able to scratch the surface of this fascinating subject. There's a whole bunch of stuff I haven't had time to tell you about – like how to knock down barriers, and ways or reconnecting with your inner child (to name but a couple). I go into it all in much more detail in my guide to becoming the best version of yourself. I've also put together some worksheets to help make all this easier. I've still got a few copies left, but they're going fast. Grab your copy right now from [link to sales page] and become the best version of yourself starting today.

To your success!
